PROFILE

Originally from Finland, Lotta Nieminen studied graphic design and illustration at the University of Art and Design Helsinki and the Rhode Island School of Design, before founding her namesake studio in 2012. She has received accolades such as Forbes magazine’s annual 30 Under 30, the Art Directors Club Young Guns award and Print magazine’s New Visual Artist, and given lectures and workshops at educational institutions and conferences across the United States and Europe. Her international client list includes Bvlgari, Hermes, New York Times, Liberty of London, Marimekko and Vanity Fair. Her approach across mediums is conceptual and holistic, guided by an interest for color, tactility and composition. She also works as an illustrator.
